Glad I was not a chicken!

Man, a lot has happened. So I saw my site, it was pretty amazing. In the middle of no where, which is cool. It takes about an hour to get to the major city where I will have to buy food and everything else. It's pretty neat.
Now we are at technical training. We are learning what we will have to do for the next two years and how to come up with what to do. If that makes any sense. Some of the time I just space out. Of course. It has been pretty cool. We are staying in a house without electricity, sometimes running water. Which causes more problems that I will get to. The electricty part I could deal with, since there are so many of us. We read by candle light. It is like the only way to get through. I am on my second book, but I also started like three others.
So the whole house, most of us have gotten sick... including me. It was horrible. I do not think I have ever been so sick in my entire life. No idea what caused it, but honestly, I would rather not experience that again. It was only for like 72 hours, but man oh man, it was horrible.
Last week, I got to go to a crocodile sanctuary. It was so amazing. We walked up to this huge lake full of crocs. The people would just walk up and their own croc (one for each person) would come up and expect some food. The food is a live chicken. So the guy got his croc out, others all around, and he had us come up one by one to sit on. Okay, okay, we did not actually sit on the croc, but we got to hover over, squat if you want and place your hands slightly on it. I, on the other hand, freaked out. I got over to the croc just fine, but I was not going to move my leg to the other side of it. Then the trainer made me, so after a bit of a struggle, I did. Then everyone said squat, I was like Hell no! So I now have a picture of me looking like I am peeing my pants over a crocodile. Very attractive. But honestly, you do not think you would be afraid of it till you are standing there looking into its eyes, knowing it can just whip right around, grab you and take you down in like 2 seconds. Before you even know what hits you. Yeah, you deal with that, see how you feel!
So after we all went, even our Ghanaian trainers, who thought we were crazy for wanting to do it, did it, we were walking back up to the car and the croc starts walking towards us. It's trainer's back to the croc. We were like, "ehh! " and pointed (since we still dont know the language). The trainer turns around and throws it the chicken (chick). The croc catches it, of course, and I got a great pic of it! I can not wait to post those pics.
So, that is why I was glad I was not a chicken that day!
